Impact of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) on Reproductive Health of Human

چکیده

Abstract At present, endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) have gained attention in human pathophysiology, and many studies yet been conducted to explain the mechanism of these chemical compounds on reproductive dysfunctions. In maximum focus towards exposure their disorders different axises though sufficient information are not available systems human. A huge number EDCs resulting interference normal functions hypothalamic-pituitary–gonadal axis. There several types like pesticides, heavy metals, food additives contaminants which responsible create negative impact metabolism alteration homeostasis tissue promoting such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, infertility etc. Genomic nongenomic mechanisms proposed clarify complications together with occupational or environmental together, lack depth studies, occurrence confusing factors prohibited establish causal relationship between cum specific so far. The aim manuscript is review scientific literature exists far hazardous effects health focusing up date mode actions major this concerns.

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals and male reproductive health.

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals are substances present in the environment that can interfere with normal hormonal balance and thus exert potentially adverse health effects on the human organism. Male reproductive system development and function may be susceptible to the effects of such environmental toxicants. Bisphenol A, phthalates and alkylphenols are important components of multiple products...

Effects of Endocrine-disrupting Chemicals on Female Reproductive Health

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) are increasingly prevalent in the environment and the evidence demonstrates that they affect reproductive health, has been accumulating for the last few decades. In this review of recent literature, we present evidence of the effects of estrogen-mimicking EDCs on female reproductive health especially the ovaries and uteri. As representative EDCs, data from ...

Negative impact of endocrine-disrupting compounds on human reproductive health.

There is increasing concern about chemical pollutants that are able to mimic hormones, the so-called endocrine-disrupting compounds (EDCs), because of their structural similarity to endogenous hormones, their ability to interact with hormone transport proteins or because of their potential to disrupt hormone metabolic pathways. Thus, the effects of endogenous hormones can be mimicked or, in som...

Exposure to Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals and Male Reproductive Health

Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) can interfere with normal hormonal balance and may exert adverse consequences on humans. The male reproductive system may be susceptible to the effects of such environmental toxicants. This review discusses the recent progress in scientific data mainly from epidemiology studies on the associations between EDCs and male reproductive health and our understand...

Assessing dose–response relationships for endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs): a focus on non-monotonicity

The fundamental principle in regulatory toxicology is that all chemicals are toxic and that the severity of effect is proportional to the exposure level. An ancillary assumption is that there are no effects at exposures below the lowest observed adverse effect level (LOAEL), either because no effects exist or because they are not statistically resolvable, implying that they would not be adverse...
